The Cameras — HiLook IPC-T361H 6MP Turret
These are 6 megapixel turret dome cameras, which means sharper detail than the standard 2MP or 4MP cameras you’ll find in cheaper kits. At 6MP you can actually make out faces, number plates and clothing detail — not just a blurry shape moving through frame.
The feature that makes the biggest difference in day-to-day use is AcuSense. This is HiLook’s built-in AI that separates people and vehicles from everything else moving in the frame. Your neighbour’s cat, a tree branch in the wind, headlights sweeping across the wall — none of that triggers an alert. You only get notified when a person or vehicle enters the area you’re monitoring. For anyone who’s had a camera system that sends 40 notifications a day about nothing, this is a significant upgrade.
The cameras handle low light well and are fully weatherproof, so they work equally well under a covered patio, mounted on an exterior wall, or positioned at an entry point exposed to the elements. Indoor or outdoor — same camera, no compromise.
The Recorder — HiLook NVR-104MH-C/4P
The NVR is what ties the system together. It records continuously from all four cameras onto the 2TB surveillance-grade hard drive included in the kit. Surveillance-grade matters here — standard desktop hard drives aren’t built for 24/7 write cycles and fail much faster in a recording setup.
The NVR connects to your cameras over PoE (Power over Ethernet), which means each camera only needs a single cable run for both data and power. Cleaner install, fewer points of failure.
Remote access runs through the HiLookVision app. Live view, recorded footage, motion alerts, and playback — all accessible from your phone whether you’re in the next room or the other side of the country. The footage stays on your local hard drive regardless of your internet connection, so a router outage or NBN dropout doesn’t cost you your recordings.

Every property is different, but for a standard home four cameras gives you solid coverage of the main entry points. A common setup would be front door, driveway, rear entry, and a side access or backyard. For small businesses it’s usually the shopfront, rear door, car park and a key interior area.
We’ll walk through your property before quoting to make sure the placement makes sense for your specific layout. There’s no point mounting a camera where it looks good if it’s not covering what actually needs watching.
Pricing
The full kit including professional installation is $1,999, subject to a site inspection. That covers the hardware, all cabling, mounting, NVR setup and app configuration. We test everything before we leave so you’re not figuring it out yourself after we’ve gone.
Properties with longer cable runs, challenging rooflines or additional points may vary slightly — which is why we do a site inspection first rather than quoting blind.
